Teni Boulikas, Ph.D. Dr. Boulikas has been responsible for the development of Lipoplatin™. He is the inventor of the patented liposomal encapsulation technology that he successfully applied to cisplatin, oxaliplatin, peptides, genes and viruses. Teni played the principal role in the inception, formulation, preclinical testing and clinical development of three drugs, Lipoplatin, Lipoxal and LipoVIL12. Lipoplatin is currently in Phase III as first line treatment against lung cancers. He holds a Ph.D. from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in Biochemistry. Prior to founding Regulon, Dr. Boulikas worked with the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (5 years) including 2-years as an EMBO Fellow and as Professor at the University of Sherbrooke on cloning and monoclonal antibodies. He was also a Director at the Department of Carcinogenesis at Linus Pauling Institute in Palo Alto, California and a Consultant to SEQUUS, the Company that developed the liposomal drug DOXIL (Caelyx). Teni Boulikas is the Editor of Gene Therapy & Molecular Biology as well as Editor of Cancer Therapy, a peer-reviewed scientific journal with a publication time of less than 4 weeks (compared to 8 months of most other journals) and free electronic access. The Editorial Board includes eminent Oncologists and Molecular Biologists of an International reputation. Teni is the Chairman and co-Founder of Dendrigen AE (September 2006, Hellas).
